Brad Keselowski said he will address questions about his future racing plans at a news conference Saturday morning at Martinsville Speedway, four days after he confirmed that RFK Racing‘s other owners turned down his bid to buy the team.
Keselowski made the announcement in a statement posted to X on Tuesday.
Keselowski: ‘I know there are still questions’
“The outpouring of support and interest in my future racing plans over the past few weeks has been truly humbling. From the bottom of my heart, thank you,” Keselowski wrote.
“I know there are still questions, and I plan to address several of them during my press conference Saturday morning at Martinsville Speedway. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience, encouragement and continued support. It means more than you know.”

The split with RFK
RFK Racing announced on September 29 that Keselowski would leave the No. 6 Ford after the 2026 season and that the team would look to buy out his ownership stake. Keselowski joined the team as a driver and co-owner in 2022, alongside Jack Roush and Fenway Sports Group.
Last week, Keselowski confirmed to Sports Business Journal that he made an unsolicited bid to buy RFK Racing outright and that it was turned down, as Pit This Time reported. He said he still wants to own a NASCAR team and declined to say what his next move will be.
At Charlotte earlier this month, Keselowski said there were “some really good opportunities” for him but did not name any. He has said he is not ready to stop driving.
His record
Keselowski, 42, won the 2012 Cup Series championship with Team Penske. He has one Cup win with RFK Racing, at Darlington Raceway in May 2024.
Martinsville weekend schedule
Keselowski did not give a time for Saturday’s news conference. Cup Series practice is Saturday at 1 p.m. ET and qualifying is at 2:05 p.m., both on truTV and HBO Max. The Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia, is Sunday, November 1, at 2 p.m. ET on NBC. The season ends November 8 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, which will be Keselowski’s last race for RFK.
