Viking Motorsports will bring back both of its O’Reilly Auto Parts Series drivers in 2027, with Parker Retzlaff returning to the No. 99 Chevrolet and Anthony Alfredo to the No. 96 Chevrolet.

The team announced the moves on Thursday. Crew chiefs Josh Graham and Danny Efland will also return.

Owner: ‘Continuity matters in this sport’

“Keeping Anthony, Parker, Josh and Danny together was a priority for us heading into 2027,” team owner Don Sackett said. “The way the No. 96 group has come together over the back half of the season has been impressive, and the No. 99 making the Chase in just its second full-time year says a lot about the people at Viking Motorsports. Continuity matters in this sport, and we believe these four give us the right foundation to keep moving forward.”

Retzlaff: ‘The best year of my career’

Retzlaff made the O’Reilly Series Chase for the first time this season, the first Chase appearance for Viking.

“This has been the best year of my career, and a lot of that comes down to the team assembled around me,” Retzlaff said. “Making the Chase was a big goal for us, but none of us are satisfied. We know each other now and we know what we need, so having another year with the same group has me excited for what we can do in 2027.”

Retzlaff is out of title contention with two races left.

Alfredo: ‘Carry that momentum’

Alfredo did not make the Chase but has run better late in the season. He finished 10th at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday.

“We’ve come a long way since this team was put together last December,” Alfredo said. “The whole No. 96 crew has put in the work to get where we are now. The way we’ve been running lately shows where this team is headed. Being able to carry that momentum into the offseason is huge for us.”

The two drivers have combined for seven top-five finishes and 22 top-10s this season.

What’s next

The O’Reilly Series races in the National Debt Relief 250 at Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia, on Saturday, October 31, at 4 p.m. ET on The CW, and ends its season at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 7.
