What the warrant alleges
According to the affidavit, as reported by WBTV and WSOC-TV, a Huntersville officer saw Moskowitz driving a 2023 Toyota Sequoia on Cramur Drive in an “aggressive and reckless manner” around noon Thursday. The affidavit says the SUV went into a ditch, backed out and pulled into the driveway of a home.
The affidavit says officers and others tried to get Moskowitz to stop, and one officer had to step out of the way three times to avoid being hit. Officers removed Moskowitz from the vehicle and took him into custody. WSOC-TV reported that officers had responded to a civil disturbance on the street.
The allegations have not been proven in court. Moskowitz did not respond to requests for comment, and PROSPORT Management did not respond either, WSOC-TV reported. No attorney for Moskowitz has been named, and no court date has been reported.
PROSPORT’s NASCAR clients
Moskowitz is listed as CEO of PROSPORT Management and head of its racing division. The agency’s website lists Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, Bubba Wallace, William Byron, Tyler Reddick and Corey Heim among its clients, according to WSOC-TV. The firm also represents athletes in the NFL, the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, WBTV reported.
There is no indication any of the agency’s clients were involved in the incident.
Several of those drivers are in this year’s Cup Series Chase. Larson leads the standings by five points heading into Sunday’s YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama, with Hamlin fourth, Reddick seventh and Elliott 10th.
