The national Super Late Model tour now run by Kevin Harvick and his partners will co-promote the 2027 Tekton Battle at Berlin with UARA National, the first joint step between two short-track groups that have long operated apart.
The tour formerly known as the ASA STARS National Tour and UARA National are also working toward a unified rulebook for pavement Super Late Model racing, Short Track Scene reported. The rulebook has not been finalized, and technical talks are ongoing.

Harvick wants one set of rules
Harvick opened the talks with UARA National director Ricky Brooks after a meeting between the groups earlier in October, according to Short Track Scene.
“Our goal is to establish a uniform rules package nationwide,” Harvick said in comments reported by Short Track Scene.
Different rulebooks from one regional tour to the next can force Super Late Model teams to change parts, or skip races outside their home region. A common package would let teams take the same car to more events.
A reset between rival tours
UARA and the old ASA STARS tour have not always gotten along. Brooks started what became UARA National after he and Track Enterprises president Bob Sargent, who ran the ASA STARS tour, could not agree to work together. The two series built separate schedules in the same Super Late Model world.
The Tekton Battle at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan, has been part of the UARA schedule, and races at Berlin were also fixtures on the old CRA calendar.
The new CARS Tour lineup
The Berlin announcement came less than three weeks after Harvick, Tim Huddleston and Marty Melo brought several short-track series under one ownership group, MDM Promotions.
Starting January 1, 2027, seven touring divisions will run under the CARS Tour name, including the former ASA STARS National Tour, ASA Midwest Tour, CRA Pro Series and CARS Tour West. The ASA STARS National Tour becomes the CARS National Tour, and the Midwest series becomes the CARS Midwest Tour. The group also includes TrackTV, which will stream its races.
The CARS Midwest Tour will switch to the United Late Model Rules Alliance package in 2027, moving Wisconsin teams from a two-barrel carburetor to the four-barrel setup used in other major Super Late Model racing. That change also affects brakes, drivelines and suspension parts.
The new Super Late Model tours are separate from the North Carolina-based CARS Late Model Stock and Pro Late Model tours, which share the CARS name.
Harvick, the 2014 Cup Series champion, is also an analyst on FOX’s NASCAR coverage.
