Homestead-Miami Speedway is honoring Kyle Busch as NASCAR crowns its 2026 champions this weekend, at the track where Busch won both of his Cup Series titles.
The speedway shared photos of the Kyle Busch Tunnel, which carries his name in large letters along with his signature, with a short message: “Forever Rowdy. Forever a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion.”
The track did not say that the photos mark a new dedication or that a separate ceremony is planned.
Busch’s Homestead titles
Busch clinched both of his Cup championships at Homestead, and he won the race both times.
In 2015, he won the title in the No. 18 for Joe Gibbs Racing after missing the first 11 races of the season with leg and foot injuries from a crash at Daytona. In 2019, he won at Homestead again to take his second title.
A record career
Busch died on May 21, 2026. He won 63 Cup races, and he holds the record for career wins in NASCAR’s national series.
He also owned Kyle Busch Motorsports, which won 100 Truck Series races and championships with Erik Jones in 2015 and Christopher Bell in 2017 before Busch sold the team to Spire Motorsports in 2023.
Dirt racing star Rico Abreu said last week that he wishes he had gone through Busch’s development program, as Pit This Time reported.
Championship weekend
Homestead hosts all three national series title races this weekend. The Truck Series championship race is Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race is Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on The CW, and the Cup Series finale is Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.
Kyle Larson needs nine points Sunday to clinch his third Cup title. Christopher Bell, who won the 2017 Truck title for Busch’s team, is 67 points back.
